Teatteri Mukamas’ new Christmas show Tontun joulupuuhat is part of Särkänniemi’s Doghill Christmas! The puppet show, which will cheerfully lead into a festive mood, will be performed daily from Thursday to Sunday, December 12–15 at 5:30 PM at the Doghill’s Tassu Theater.

Teatteri Mukamas’ traditional Jouluyö brings a nice, peaceful moment for both young and old rushers. The puppet theatre performance tells the Christmas story from the perspective of Little Donkey, and reminds us what is most important about Christmas.

The festive atmosphere fills the theatre house when Mukamas’ Christmas starts! The opening of Christmas will be celebrated in the idyllic milieu of Pispala on Saturday, November 30 with Christmas carols and gingerbread cookies.

MUKAMAS 2024 – International Puppet Theatre Festival was organized from 11 to 15 September in Tampere. The event, celebrating its 25th anniversary, started in 1999 out of a desire to enrich national culture and show how versatile and limitless a genre puppet theatre is.

2024 is the actual celebration year for Teatteri Mukamas. In addition to the theatre’s 45th anniversary, Mukamas’ special International Puppet Theatre Festival is also celebrating its 25th anniversary. Now it’s time to remember with Mansi Stycz, the founder of the theatre and the artistic director of the festival, where the events started.
